Welcome to Un.titled Emma! Tell us about your background

I grew up in Fife and have lived in Edinburgh for many years. I worked at Marketing Edinburgh for a time, and was involved with Museums and Galleries EdinburghThis is how I got to know Un.titled, and worked with you guys on a project which saw a revamp of the organisation’s website.

I also worked for a time as digital marketing manager at Queen Margaret University, before joining Un.titled in January 2021.

What are your areas of expertise?

I’m a project manager with a real passion for web accessibility. No bad thing comes from making the internet more accessible. It also makes commercial sense, so I like to promote and enable higher levels of accessibility wherever possible.

I also love working to understand user journeys and UXI studied at CodeClan for a while, and studied UX here which really helped broaden my understanding of this important area.

How do you feel about joining Un.titled?

I’m really excited about joining Un.titled! Having sat at the other side of the table, I know first-hand about the great work Un.titled does and I’m excited to be a part of that.

I’m also looking forward to working with a wide variety of clients.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Away from work, I actually run my own website – Vegan Edinburgh. This is where you can find all the best vegan stuff in Edinburgh and get tips about the best places to visit and eat at as a vegan in the city.

I also enjoy running and yoga. And I'm partial to the occasional gin... I’m fortunate enough to live close to lots of good gin distilleries here in Edinburgh

Have you developed any new hobbies during lockdown?

I’ve realised the importance of getting out of the house while there’s daylight! I’ve done a lot of yoga, and read plenty of books.

I like both fiction and non-fiction, and I’ve been reading things about Tim Peake, Chris Hadfield and space travel generally of late.
